CARE South Sudan (Community Agency for Resilience and Equality) was founded in 2007 by professional and social development workers. The organisation was first registered as a national non-governmental organisation in May 2009 in the National Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs and later in the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (RRC) in April 2011.

What We Do
Food Security & Livelihood
We majorly focus on improving food availability and standards of living. It was formed majorly with the purpose of empowering the communities.
Education
Community Managed Micro-Finance is one of our projects at CARE South Sudan. We However don’t give cash to the group but knowledge on how to sve and invest.
Health & Nutrition
The Project supports strengthening of community based AFP surveillance in 4 Counties by working with key informants to detect.
Gender Protection & Peace Building
CARE South Sudan has a thematic sector in GENDER, PROTECTION & PEACE BUILDING response in the country.
CMMF
Our purpose is one to provide a simple savings and loan facility in a community that does not have access to formal financial services.
WASH & NFI
CARE South Sudan WASH activities are lively in Northern Bahr el Ghazal and Central Equatoria States with possibility of shortly increasing our coverage to Jongolei and Unity States.
